A major remodel is the ideal time to add the comfort and efficiency of radiant floor heating. With walls and floors already open, we can seamlessly integrate a system into your renovation project, whether it's a kitchen, an addition, or a full-house gut.
Radiant heating is especially popular for ADU and garage conversions in neighborhoods like the Sunset and Richmond, as well as for above-garage additions where there's easy access to the floor joists.
The most expensive part of a radiant retrofit is opening up walls and floors. During a remodel, that work is already being done, making it the most cost-effective time to add radiant heating.
We work alongside your general contractor to install tubing before the new floors and walls are closed up. The result is an invisible heating system that doesn't compromise your design.
If we can access the floor from below (common in above-garage additions or homes with crawl spaces), we staple the tubing directly to the underside of the subfloor. For maximum performance, we can add aluminum heat transfer plates to distribute heat more evenly.
Best for: Additions over garages, remodels with accessible floor joists.
When access from below isn't possible, we use low-profile panels that sit on top of the subfloor. This is a great solution for whole-house renovations where all flooring is being replaced.
Best for: Full gut remodels, kitchen and bath renovations, ADU conversions.
